Hot-dip galvanizing (HDG) is a process in which steel flanges are submerged in molten zinc at a temperature of 850F. During this process, the molten zinc reacts with the steel to form thin layers of zinc alloys. These layers form a barrier that can provide exceptional corrosion protection compared to more traditional methods. This helps to increase the life and productivity of each flange.
